Hi All,
I am new to this forum. I just took the first GMAT prep test today after having brushed through some basic maths strategies and scored a 350
I have been studying for the last 2 weeks and still dont seem to have moved to a 500 +
I am a married Indian woman , living in central Europe all by myself managing a US based operations out of here for the last 2 years. I have a masters in Economics, Gold medal at university level in masters and a great GPA in both bachelors and masters. I have been working for the last 6 years and have been promoted from analyst to manager ( managing European team for the last 2 years)
I have been working with a NGO- Infact one of the first volunteers and am the secretary of the NGO working on weekends on class curriculum.Apart from this I also have actively participated in dance and dramatics in college and was the elected students union member at college level- thereby taking up leadership role and responsibilities.
Having a profile like this , I was hoping to have a score of 700+ to get into my dream school. However with work pressure and also household chores( I stay alone in Europe and ofcourse have to do everything by myself) I am able to dedicate only 2-3 hours on weekdays and about 8 hours on weekends. Maths concepts are something I did 11 years back and English which I thought was my strong point has been proved wrong.
Can someone help me on how I can BEAT THE GMAT and get into my dream school. I am in a consulting company and want to move into management consulting and later turn an entrepreneur. My husband is an entrepreneur trying to run a web based product and he is an inspiration for me to chase my dreams someday.
However I am so depressed after taking the GMAT prep test. Now it is like a challenge I have to overcome to prove to myself that yes I can do it too.
All suggestions are welcome. Please help me. I just joined this forum today and trying to see how I can benefit from the experts.
