studying tip

by brontobuffy » Sun Jul 13, 2008 4:56 pm
studying out of the OG11 today, I noticed a mistake i've been making in studying. This is my second time going through the PS/DS questions. I answer a couple pages of questions then check my answers. A mistake Ive been making is not looking at the ones I got RIGHT. I just review the ones i've missed, see why I missed them and move on. Now that I am going through a second time, I find myself beginning a question and remember if it is the same approach I used the first time I solved it and I start to second guess my approach because I don't remember if that approach worked the first time or not. So when going through problems, its a good idea to look at the ones you got right, remember how you did it, and note to yourself that you have that concept down. Even if you just glance at the problem, its a good idea. :)

This is a really great tip. Sometimes you get a question right because you're lucky. Reading the explanations to the right answers is critical because it will help hammer down why the correct choice is correct.

Great reminder!
