David spend hours trying to choose among spending his money on one of the three video game consoles and buying a Blu-ray player.
  • A. among spending his money on one of the three video game consoles and buying
    B. among spending his money on a video game console, of which he was considering three, or purchasing
    C. between spending his money on one of three video game consoles or buying
    D. Between spending his money on one of three video game consoles and buying
    E. to spend his money among video game consoles which would be one of three or else

2 things to compare
so use between
also with between, 'and' is used :)

OA D
there are two things consoles and buying,therefore,we need to use between,left with C and D.......C is wrong because of the use of or.....D is the right answer

A. among spending his money on one of the three video game consoles and buying
B. among spending his money on a video game console, of which he was considering three, or purchasing
C. between spending his money on one of three video game consoles or buying
D. Between spending his money on one of three video game consoles and buying
E. to spend his money among video game consoles which would be one of three or else

Among is used for more than 2 options
Between X and Y for two options

He is choosing between two things - Video game console and Blu-ray player. Eliminate A, B, and E
C, and D are complicated too but between X and Y and not between X or Y is idiomatically right. :)
