Q. What is the perimeter of right triangle ABC?
(1) AB = 5
(2) AC = 5* root(2)

OA
:E,
but I believe answer is C.

Is it possible to make a rt triangle with the following dimension?
5, 5* root(2), 5* root(3)
I'm no expert, just trying to work on my skills. If I've made any mistakes please bear with me.

We can see that each statement on its own is now sufficient.

Both statements combined:
There are still two possible right triangles (with different perimeters)

There's this one:

And this one:

To show that both of these are possibly right triangles, all we need to do is verify the Pythagorean Theorem (a^2 + b^2 = c^2).

Answer = E

The question doesn't specify the triangle is right angled at what angle. The answer will vary based on that . Hence E.
