f(x) = 3x+1
g(x) = (x-1)/3

g(c) = ?

St 1: f(c) = 13
Substitute x as c in f(x)

3c+1 = 13
c = 4
g(4) = 4-1/3 = 1/3---SUFF

St 2: f(1) = c
Substitute x as 1 and equate f(x) to c

3*1+1 = c
c = 4
g(c) = 4-1/3 = 1/3---SUFF

Answer is D
