The distributor then sells it to the wholesaler and offers him a discount equal to 3/4th of the discount that he received from the manufacturer. The wholesaler then sells it to the retailer at a discount equal to 2/3rd of the discount he received from the distributor. The retailer finally sells it to the customer at a discount equal to 1/2 the discount that he received from the wholesaler.
