Which GMAT Tests Should I try

Hi All,

I have approx. 40 days to give the GMAT exam....I want to use this time in giving the simulated exams...

Can someone please tell which all CATs should I try....whose all come close to real GMAT...which are tougher then real GMAT( so that I do not cry after seeing horrible scores :-)).... which tests are more of junk to be avoided....

From my experience (and I have yet to take the real GMAT), the best tests are the GMAT Prep (official exams available from mba.com) and Manhattan GMAT tests. MGMAT quant tends to be harder than GMAT Prep.

I'm pretty skeptical of Kaplan tests. Scoring sometimes seems very strange and question quality isn't that high,

Can you please tell....

Are giving total 8 tests(6 Manhattan and 2 GPrep) are good enough for having a good feel of real GMAT exam....or do we need to practice more ?

Also kindly tell are MGMAT tests good indicator of your marks in actual GMAT ?

The most effective way to study for the GMAT is to take diagnostic test, then evaluate your strengths and weaknesses.

You want to be sure you know WHY you got something correct, WHY you got something wrong, and have a plan in place on how to fortify what you need to learn.

The GMAC has 4 CAT tests you can take and several paper tests. By far these are the most accurate, and best tests you can use to get yourself up to speed.

Using the OGs, (11, 12 and the purple and green books) are a great start, but usually not enough.

I am not an expert but in my own experience MGMAT and GMATPrep come closer to the real score than any other test. Start with those and if you have time left take other practice exams. 40 days is plenty of time :)
