Hey guys. I just came back from the test centre with a form saying that I scored 680 (86th percentile, Q.43, V.40). I feel awesome. This was my second attempt and the first attempt was exactly 5 weeks ago where I scored 590 (Q.37 V.33). I think a significant factor in the improvement in my score is the OG guide. My revision for the first test was solely based on Kaplan materials (apart from 2 GMAT prep tests). Although the Kaplan material was helpful, it is not produced by the makers of the test i.e. GMAC.
The verbal section has been my stronger point of the GMAT however I have improved my scores in quant over the past few weeks. There were times during the Quant and the break after it that I was pretty annoyed as I felt that I was not doing well. Anyway, I managed to keep things together and put in a good performance in the verbal.
I need to finish my application which is due tomorrow but hopefully the GMAT side of the application will tick the right boxeds wih my score of 680 (feels as good to type it as it does to say it). Good luck to everyone who is yet to take their exam and thank you very much to all of the instructors and felllow GMAT takers for all your inspirational advice and success stories.
