A. differentiate X from Y .
It can not differentiate between , either its differentiate OR its between X and Y but both can not be together .
And you differentiate some thing FROM the other . You dont say differentiate Quantity A and Quantity B.

dictionary says both "from" and "between" are ok
differentiate (someone or something) from (someone or something else): differentiate X from Y
differentiate between (someone or something and someone or something else): differentiate between X and Y
a similar idiom is distinguish, and both "from" and "between" ok as well.
distinguish X from Y
