Hi Tani,

I dont know why. But,Still I am unable to decipher that meaning from A. I read it atleast 50 times.

Evidence of the harmful effects this insecticide would almost certainly have been discovered after three decades of use.

What has been discovered here??

Is the sentence missing any preposition?

It's not what has been discovered...it's what hasn't been discovered...in thirty years. If the product has been used for 30 years without a problem, it's probably safe.

Paraphrasing - If you use if for 30 years without a problem, it's reasonable to assume there isn't a problem.

We are trying to strengthen this statement.

D says:

This means that the agencies are using the insecticides in the recommended way. Hence there should not be any harm encountered.

I think now I see apart of it. Wording looks so confusing.

Even after three decades of use, there is no evidence of harmful effects.

If I am seeing correctly, the sentence has to be broken this way:
Evidence of the harmful effects this insecticide <has>
would almost certainly have been discovered after three decades of use.

Is my interpretation correct Tani?
