What is the value of (k - w) + (k - x) + (k - y)?

[1] w, x, and y are three consecutive odd numbers.

[2] The mean of w, x, and y is k.

(1) w, x, and y are three consecutive odd numbers doesn't give any info about the variable k.
So, (1) is NOT SUFFICIENT.

(2) (w + x + y)/3 = k implies w + x + y = 3k
3k - w - x - y = 0
(k - w) + (k - x) + (k - y) = 0
So, (2) is SUFFICIENT.

The correct answer is [spoiler](B)[/spoiler].
