  • -> What do you think of my chances among these institutes?
-> Can I get a scholarship in any of these institutes?
-> Should I consider applying to few more institutes to be on the safer side? I'm flexible about the place of study.
-> I'm also concerned about job opportunities post MBA/MIS. So are the above locations a good choice w.r.t job opportunities, visa etc.,?
-> Do I have to provide a certificate for each of the above extra curricular activity?
Awaiting your response.
Regards,
Soumya

Hi,

Thanks for your post. You have a balanced profile - meaning you have a good mix of professional experience and extracurricular activities. Your work experience is right on par with the average for European schools, while it is a little above average for the US schools on your list. This isn't necessarily a concern, but rather something you should be aware of as you craft your goals essay and explain the reasons for your MBA and the timing.

Your GMAT score is a bit below average as compared to others in the same applicant pool, but I don't think it is low enough to cause concern or be a "deal breaker." It's just a good idea to be aware of your weaker areas so that you can compensate in other ways in your application (through solid essays, extracurriculars, etc.).

In regard to scholarships, it's really difficult to predict the likeliness you will receive one. Each school has their own method of distribution and it varies from school to school.

You need not worry too much about job placement upon graduation. While there may be many jobs in the local community, there will also be many opportunities in other cities and countries.

Lastly, in regard to extracurricular activities, you need not provide certificates or proof, but be sure to list your level of involvement in each activity as honestly as possible.

Best,

Stacey
