Dual Citizenship - Which to use?

by Warsaw » Wed Nov 23, 2011 5:00 pm
I'm fairly new to this forum so I apologize if this question as been asked before.

I assume that schools have a target percentage of spots they wish to fill by non-US citizens, to keep the classes diverse. I currently have dual citizenship (Canadian and Polish), but I have lived in Canada my whole life. Is it possible to play either citizenship to my advantage?

I'll leave this question also open to scenarios for other dual nationalities so that other people may benefit from this thread.

Thanks

Hi,

You would have to highlight your dual citizenship in the application. This thing could be of interest- if you stories to add to your application regarding your work, personal life adding to the cross culture aspect of the application. Assuming you have worked in both or stayed in both these countries you could use this to leverage your application.
