Phd candidate, 3.9 GPA

by gkrk123 » Sat Feb 09, 2013 5:51 pm
My GPA is 3.9 and I would like to do my MBA after my Phd (computer science). I expect to graduate this Fall. I am planning to take my GMAT this summer. I am 29 years old and I plan to apply for Fall 2014. What would be my chances of getting into top 5 B schools?

Agreed you'll need to score over 700+ to get into a top tier school. But in addition to that,
the important question is : Why do you want to go for an MBA after a PhD? What do you plan to do with an additional degree and how will it take you further up in your career?

Since you will already have a PhD, it is important that when you write up your application you emphasis on "Why". In addition to this, how many years of work experience do you have will also count for or against you. Please send me your resume/vitae/c.v for in-depth evaluation or questions.
