Indepently or indenpendent

by Womentis » Sun Jan 16, 2011 5:55 am
Hello, I need your help. How can I express in English that: concept A, independetly from something else, brings to concept B?
I have found on the dictionary that the word "independent-ly" refers to the meaning of "being independent of".
But what I mean using "independent-ly" is more like to "not considering something".
Giving a context example, is it correct to say "independetly from hypertension and diabetes, a correlation between.....has been reported"?
Thank you!!!!

"Independently" is an adverb and would modify "reported."

"Independent" is an adjective" and would modify "correlation."

Which one is correct depends on what you're trying to say.
