Need some advice....

by MJ1072 » Tue Jul 23, 2013 8:16 am
Well technically I don't belong to this post category. I gave my first ever GMAT today. I scored 500 (Q-32 & V-26) in 4 days study. I still have a month to give my next and last for this year for applying in India. Hence, I would appreciate a few recommendations on reaching atleast 700 score.

Due to the heavy work load and late sittings in office I literally postponed my GMAT appointment twice in last 3 months, until ultimately it was gonna cost me the complete exam fees for postponing any further.

I had no time for detailed study and hence settled for GMAC's Quantitative & Verbal Review for brush-ups for the fast approaching exam. I hardly had time left for any practice on Verbal questions and AWA. So I have come back with such a terrible score.

Awaiting suggestions on a proper strategic approach that I need to apply to achieve my goal.

Thanks,

MJ1072

Just a word of caution. 200 points in a month, after very little study is a HUGE jump. Is there a reason that you must apply this year? If so, can you give yourself more prep time by applying to later rounds?
