I started prepping for GMAT back in mid Jan... I wrote my first GMAT prep test and scored 600 ( Q 49 V25) ...
I knew what I had to do and thus planned out a schedule for the next month doing only verbal. I completed all the Questions in OG, did manhattan GMAT SC to improve my SC skills.
In the OG questions, I got 70-75% SCs correct, 80% CR correct and 75-80% on RC. All these questions were "untimed" though.
Based on this, I wrote a Manhattan GMAT test today and only managed to score 630 (Q44 V32). I don't really care about the Quant score because Manhattan Quant questions were different from GMAT prep ( very calculation intensive) and I haven't really started preparing for this section.
I am worried about the verbal section. I want to bring my raw score up to 40 by first week of april. I am aiming for a 730 + score and I think Q50 and V40 should do it for me.
What I noticed during the Manhattan GMAT test was that my timing was off in verbal. I was getting nervous and missed a couple of questions coz i misread the question as i was concentrating too much on time.
So my question is, What should my next step be? Improve my timing in verbal or go back to the basics in verbal ? I have the OG verbal review book as well that I plan on starting soon.
my Manhattan GMAT hit rate for verbal sections was
SC = 47%
RC= 59%
CR = 50%
I would really appreciate your help
