Fullbright Scholarship

by juanse262 » Fri Feb 05, 2010 8:10 am
Hi, I have the choice to apply through a fulbright schoolarship, which can only be obtained through the sponsorship of my current employer. Of course, I have to come back at least 2 years to the same company once I´m done with the studies. Does applying as a fulbright recipient really improves my chances that dramatically as to having to commit myself to get back to the same employer?

Appreciate any thoughts on this...Thanks.

Fulbright scholarship will definitely look good and if you think about the situation we're in economically, with top schools still unable to find jobs for up to 20 or 30% of their students several months after they graduate, it might not be a bad deal to have a guaranteed job for a couple of years when you graduate. The real question to ask is: do you like you job? If the answer is no, then you should move on, scholarship or not.
