Hi guys,

Since June 5th 2010 I have been preparing for the GMAT. My scores seem to be stagnant at just around the 460-490 mark. I had enrolled to a course and am well aware of the rules of the GMAT now, but for some reason I am unable to apply them while am taking up my practice tests. I have taken three practice tests till date from princeton but i seem to fall in the above said range all the time. I panic a lot while am writing the tests and make a lot of silly mistakes. I am very serious about giving my GMAT and have also booked my date (September 29th 2010), but my test scores are making me a little apprehensive. Currently I am wanting to solve every single problem on the OG 12 and am almost done with it. I have noted a few areas of concern : Coordinate system, Critical reasoning ( especially Bolded phrases). My sucess rate in other areas has been around 60-70% on an average. Though am aware of the rules every single time i feel that i am unable to apply them when they are needed the most.

Currently once am done with the OG 12, I plan to take up Manhattan tests, Kaplan, and GMAT power prep before my actual test. Kindly suggest as to how i could improvize my scores :( . This will really help me boost my confidence

Please guide me.

Quant:
try to refresh the basics of all the areas you are weak in quant then do some basic problems.

Verbal:

What are your weak areas in verbal?[/b]

Thanks I am currently trying to review my basics again in quant. However I feel that the way questions are framed tend to bog me down most times.

Verbal- I am pretty comfortable with sentence correction compared to the RC or CR. But i do stumble mostly in the subsections of SC, RC and CR such as inference questions in RC, Bolded phrases in CR, and pronoun questions on SC. I have observed that I tend to spend much time trying to resolve a question that is tricky and hence miss out giving attention to last questions (Random guess without reading).
