St.(1) Out of 17 any number of students can be less than 75 and more than 82. Total 82*20=1640. Can be any combination. Not sufficient.
St.(2) Don't know how many between 75 and 82. Not sufficient.
Together, not possible.

20 people take a test and the average score is 82. How many people have a score under 75?
1). exactly 3 people have score between 82 and 75.
2). the median score is 85.
IMO E. Some additional information required. If you would have been given to us with range or something like that then we would have easily got the answer and C would have done it...
But what is the OA??? Please type the OA asap...
