Strategy Advice Please

by gointobeready » Mon Feb 21, 2011 9:17 pm
Hello,

I studied for the GMAT in 08' and 09'. Coming back, and I went through the MGMAT's Foundations of GMAT math book. Did not have too much trouble other than some stupid mistakes....I know...they can be deadly and are just as important as other type of mistakes...

My question is, how should I proceed? Just work through the other GMAT books. Should I take a practice test right away? Any advice.

Thanks,
Anosh

Assuming that you are not satisfied with your score that a GMATPrep would give you today, I would try to follow a good course to refresh and practice everything I need to know for the test. I was in a similar situation myself, I had not touched GMAT related material for a year (after I scored poorly). However, I started in Jan 11 to practice again, and although I probably could do everything by myself, I signed up for a Knewton GMAT course which at that time was discounted. Now when I have been with knewton for a while I can tell you that I would never been able to have this continuity and red thread through my study weeks if I had made all by myself. Knewton offer tools and has a approach that imho fits a returning GMAT user better than a completely beginner. If you do not want to follow any courses, I would suggest that you try to locate your weaknesses, tell us about them here in the forum so we can give you recommendations accordingly. Good Luck!
