I am thinking of applying to the 2+2 Program, and have several questions.

1) For Stacy Blackman Consulting, can you tell me more about how the hourly basis works?? Do I meet the consultant face-to-face? Or do we webcam? I am currently not in the United States, so please tell me how the hourly-basis consulting will work for my case?
I am very interested in doing this service.
During the 2-hour section, the consultant can edit the resume/essay, provide strategy, etc.???? Please give me more information on that, thanks!

2) As a 2+2 Program applicant, is it okay if I dun have a clear aim of what to do in the future? Or is it actually better to have a clear goal in the application/interview?
I have many interests and still couldnt decide what's the best one for me.
For example, I wanna do real estate, marketing, PR, non-profit, entreneurship (but not finance haha).....
Shall I choose one to elaborate? Or shall I simply say I have too many interests that I wanna explore in HBS?
There is not strong orientation that can be observed in my internship experiences.
I have done PR, Government/Finance and Non-profit.....
so there isn't any clear path...

3) For recommendations, I understand it's best to find someone who knows me well. But how about if that "someone" is not native in English?
I was worried about their ability to write very stylish/persuasive English, despite the fact that they can definitely communicate well in English.
Is it okay to have two non-native speakers to write my recommendations?
They know me most well, so that's why I have this concern.

4) The app deadline is July 1, by that time I may have already started my summer internship.
Shall I include that internship in my resume?

THANKS SO MUCH!!!!
I look forward to your reply.

Dear juyau800,

I would suggest visiting the Stacy Blackman Consulting website for additional detail on our services. For further questions, you should email SBC through the website or request a free consultation. A SBC representative would be happy to answer your questions on our services in relation to your background.

Yes, you need to include your summer internship on your resume since you will be working in the role when you apply. It would be best to have at least one recommendation from a professional relationship, like a current/former supervisor. Your recommender does not need to speak/write English fluently, but it would be a good idea for him/her to have someone who is fluent in English read over the recommendation before submitting it. Finally, you do need to have some goals to write about in your application. It is not necessary to have a specific job title and company in mind, but you need to have some rationale for why you want to do the 2+2 program in relation to your career goals.

Good luck,
Lisa

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR REPLY!

Just one more quick question.
Do you think I can send an additional material to the school?
I read a MBA book and that person said he had sent a self-made magazine to the admission office, and he got accepted by Stanford.

Do you think I can do the same?

You need to review the application instructions before you do anything outside of what is required. Many schools specifically ask that you do not submit additional materials. Ignoring application instructions is a definite no-no and can reflect poorly on you. If additional materials are accepted, it is something to consider, but will not guarantee an admissions offer.

Lisa
