You need to have your GMAT score before you apply. Most schools have a section where they ask you to fill in your GMAT scores. So you need to take the GMAT before you apply. Although you could start your application process (essays, CV, recommendation letters etc) and take you GMAT but to submit your application process you need to have taken your GMAT..

You need to take the GMAT before submitting your application. You can start working on your application in the meanwhile.

ISB's deadlines and admissions cycle closely resembles most US schools, but we advise you start early. As soon as the dates are announced (keep checking websites regularly) you should begin your process, and ideally submit your application in the first round as ISB generally has 2 rounds.

However, there are few requirements which differ from typical US B-Schools. As per the ISB website:

You may scan and upload the following documents as part of the online application in the format specified in the application.

Photograph
Passport
Proof of Income
Mark sheets/ transcripts
