how many of the 10 running times are more than 1 standard deviation below the mean of the 10 running times?
Mean = 100
S.D. = 22.4
100-22.4=77.6
80 is less than 1 standard deviation below the mean..
and we are supposed to find times more than 1 S.D below the mean..
So answer is 2 (70 and 75 which are more than 1 S.D. below the mean)
