I am hoping to break a 700 on my second GMAT try (first try 650) because I am aiming for a top 10 school.
However, I am curious on how much of a chance you think I have with my current stats, assuming my GMAT will go up a bit (or if it doesn't should I even bother applying?). Again, I am almost positive I can get a 670-680 on my next GMAT and [/i]should get 700+.

Heavily involved in recruiting and training of new hires
Managed projects will little supervison from director
I expect to have excellent recommendations
- extracurricular involvements
Recent: Participated in Everybody Wins Powerlunch program. I read to a 5th grader during lunch once a week for a school year; New York Cares volunteer

- interesting personal facts - countries lived in, challenges faced, unusual interests
One of my weakness. I was born and raised in NYC, attented NYC public school.
I am curious if for some reason I can't get my GMAT passed 700, if I should bother applying. My top choices are NYU and Columbia. I am comfortable with my background if I get a 700. What about if I go in with a 650? 680?
