Value of X

302.Positive integer X and Y. If X is divided by 15, remainder is 1; if X+Y is divided by 15, remainder is 1. What is min of Y?

X/15 gives R=1 so X=16 or 31 etc. Now (X+Y)/15 gives R=1 so the least value of Y=0

IMHO 0 is neither +ve nor -ve,
hence minimum value of y = 15 x=1
ans= 15

Thanks Sanjay. So it would be 31/15 = R=1 and (31+15)/15=1 and hence Y=15
