Right triangle inscribed in a circle

by Viper83 » Mon Nov 01, 2010 8:40 am
I have a question that may seem silly to some :-)

Let's assume that a right triangle is inscribed in a circle where the hypothenuse of the triangle is also the diameter of the circle. In this case is the triangle in question always a 30-60-90 triangle?

Thanks very much!

No.

Though any triangle inscribed in a circle where one side of the triangle is also the diameter of the circle implies that the triangle is right angled triangle. But it doesn't mean that the triangle is a 30-60-90 triangle.
