Suggestion - answers not to mention in the question

Hi,
I have faced the situation very often in this forum! When someone posts his queries, he/she generally mentions the answers also! At least in Verbal section where u r not very sure to chose the best answer, this can lead to build any reason to meet the answer specified by the questioner. By this, there may be a situation where we failed to catch the actual problem in the question but blindly create an approach to the mentioned option. I think, it affects every one. Obviously, after a certain time, the questioner will provide the correct answer.
Is it not possible to raise a forum rule (or something so that everyone can follow) to resolve this issue.
Correct me If I am wrong

Yeah but what's wrong in developing such approaches?
I, in fact, learned many of the GMAT SC tactics by this :) I admit the way I learned my lessons was not traditional or methodical but who cares if I am getting good results now. That's one of the way to do it but I obviously dont recommend it on open forum... it's like driving car fast & then telling your kid not to drive it fast...

Many other similar prep forums sites have set of rules. Maybe it's hightime for us to do it too. But BeatTheGMAT is lenient forum & we dont like to setting up too many rules.

Still, coming to your suggestion: (by my experience) while I know that all you people who take part in problems solving ( I mean PS CR SC DS) discussions dont like to hear/read the answer in the first post. It simply kills the curiosity and your purpose of taking part in the thread or attempting the problem.

But I know many times if the thread starter dont provide the answer at first he most probably loss the track and forgets to mention the OA or the source of the problem & such thread losses it's direction.

If I would set some rules I would insist members to mention the answer in it too; because some of our resident experts recommend that.

How about asking thread starter to provide answer in hidden text?
Just like this : select the next portion you will will know what I am talking about>> You can change the font color of the text as white 8)
