ideally if you refer Manhattan blogs --> you will find this rule used :
ed participle modifies the preceding noun, not the subject of the clause
ing participle modifies the subject of the preceding clause.
( both if occur at the end of the sentence )

I personally understand why B is correct, but I would say that it can be considered as "Akward", don't you think?
