Hi,

I have 2 undergrad. degrees: one in Psychology & one in Biology. My MBA goals are to work in the biotech. industry.

...Now, as I understand it, you don't require a B.S. in Business to be considered for an MBA, but seeing as how I have not taken any undergraduate classes in business & just considering this criterion alone, would I be viewed un/less favorably?

Thanks very much,

-A.M.

Dear A.M.,

It is not what you received your degree in that matters, but that you have one from an accredited program. A large percentage of MBA students enter business schools without business experience and without business coursework, and many of them are successful both in and after business school. Thus it is not a negative and you could possibly leverage your background to distinguish yourself in the applicant pool.

Good luck,
Lisa
