Skipping AWA during practice tests?

by RyanDark » Thu Jul 01, 2010 10:48 am
Hi,
I tried to search answer for my question in net,but didn't get the answer I am looking for. While doing Practice tests if you skip AWA entirely, does it impact your final score. I know that AWA is not counted for GMAT score, but does skipping it entirely during practice tests deflate the GMAT score?

No, it does not deflate your score. It does inflate your score indirectly as you have to concentrate for only 2 and 1/2 hours instead of 3 and a 1/2 hours.

The deflation in score depends on a person's ability to concentrate but a person should write all the essays to simulate the actual GMAT.
