Parallel Construction

Hi,

For the question and explanation below, the OA is 2. But I think there is a mistake in 2. Its missing "AND" in the start.

Without an "and" the sentence is even more wierd or rather funny than the original. It becomes "Children who watch great deal of television whose families have a history of nearsightedness will probably require glasses...... "

It should be ""Children who watch great deal of television and whose families have a history of nearsightedness will probably require glasses...... "

In fact in the current scenario 3rd is even better (although it has a paralllelism mistake). But without AND 2 makes no sense.

What do you think ?

Didn't get what you wanted to say. "Whose" is there in the option 2, "and" is missing. So a typing mistake or you meant something else ?
