Best Comprehensive Review for Math

Hi Everyone

I wrote the GMAT today and was very disappointed with my Quant score...
I had been averaging 42-44 on the quant but ended up with 38 today.

I plan on writing the GMAT again in a month but I need to improve my quant score. I have gone through the OG11 and QG quant review books already.

What should I get to help bring my quant marks up? I find the math review in the OG books to be rather bare. Is there something out there with a more detailed review.

I have an engineering back ground and am comfortable with the algebra, geometry type questions. I struggle with the number property questions the most.

The Manhattan GMAT quant books(5 books in all - u can buy em all or just what u need) are a good resource. The number properties book is good too.

Also search this forum for something like :

number properties
remainders
factors
primes
absolute value

etc...

Try to go though the various posts and keep note of experts's (people like Stuart/Ian/Ron and many others) or other users approach to solving these problems. Along with the books to supplement, u will learn a ton. I cant imagine why u cant bring up you qaunt score to the high 40's since a 38 in qaunt tells me u have the basics covered.

There is a resource for quant tests called gmatclub tests (www.gmatclub.com)

It's $79 for a pack of 25 Quant and 6 Verbal.

The quant is very high-level - think 45 up.

Most people who score well on these tests - 45-50 will score as such in the gmat - like 90% of them do extremely well for quant.

These tests are more difficult than the actual gmat - but they could serve as a good indicator of how you're going to go in the actual gmat if you're scoring well.

I've always believed that if you can do the tough stuff, then the actual test's going to be cake.
