If m and n are integers, is m odd?

(1) m + n is odd.

(2) m + n = n^2 + 5.

St 1: m + n = odd
either m is odd or n is odd
Insuff

St 2: m+n = n^2+5
m-5 = n^2-n
m-5 = n(n-1)

n(n-1) is product of 2 consecutive integers, which is always even.

m-5 = even
m = even + 5

even + odd = odd

so m = odd.
Suff

Answer is B
