Correctly myself ..E doesnt sounds correct.
"attraction as it more is attractive" --> Totally wrong ..

The competition is between A and B

A says greatest Attraction and more attractive to which is repeating and wordy ..So i think B is the best fit.

just have a look at the following sentences.
1)The percentage of marks scored by Amit is the highest in ClassX and is more than those scored by Suraj,another ClassX student.(incorrect)

2)The percentage of marks scored by Amit is the highest in ClassX, his marks are more than those scored by Suraj,another ClassX student.(correct)

A - incorrect - similar to statement1 above.
C - more ...... as (incorrect).
D - being is unnecessary.
E - "it more is attractive" is incorrect.
B - correct - similar to statement2 above.

This its is a problem in B.It seems to refer to 'the floor of church' rather than 'church'
Same is the case with all other options except E.

Agreed with Sulabh. Neither of the choices A-D use the pronoun its correctly. All of the choices are ambiguous regarding whether its refers to floors or the church.

The first "its" - refers to the church not the floor of the church.
Similarly, the second "its" also refer to the church.

Hence B is correct. Correct me if I am wrong.

The FLOOR of the church -

The floor is the SUBJECT and of the church is just a modifier



the floor is its greatest attraction and is more attractive to tourists than are its ornate stained-glass windows.

I truly believe that ITS refer back to FLOOR and this simply makes A and OA wrong.

One can argue that ITS is more close to the church so it belongs to church but I would not agree it.

Hi,

If the "its" refer to floor of the church, then the question will be

Constructed with the finest Italian marble, the floor of the church is floor of the church's (its) greatest attraction and is more attractive to tourists than are floor of the church's (its) ornate stained-glass windows

whether the above sentence is correct? I dont thing so...

So IMO if the ITS refer to Church then Ans B is correct. Is not it?

Logitech...plz throw some light on this....

I concluded B like this..

A. incorrect construction, misleading copmarision. Same explaination as given by loki.gmat


B. just remove non-essential subclause b/w commas and read. It will sounds as to point to floor which is constructed with marbal AND that marbal is better than that of windows. OK.

c. Same as B but use of "as" is wrong.

D. Wrong "Being".

E. " as it more is attractive" wrong construction.

Karthi S,

You are absolutely right. But I still believe that this pronoun issue has not been clarified yet.

I read the explanation for this question on K800 and it rules A because we don't need AND since the second part of the sentence is acting as a modifier, E is using the wrong idiom D has the BEING, and C uses MORE AS instead of MORE THAN

E does not sound right at all. B doesn't sound great, but still sounds better than all the rest.
