Dear godcre8d,

It depends on what type of career you want. For any career, the main determinant of success is you. However, there are certain industries where going to particular MBA programs can help get you one step closer to an opportunity. Thus it is important to look at many factors when assessing programs that might be a match for you as you want to target schools that will help facilitate your career search through avenues like industry connections (i.e., alumni, recruiting relationships, faculty relationships, elective coursework, etc). Likewise, geography can sometimes be a good place to start your research as most schools have strong connections to the industries they are in geographic proximity to, namely corporate offices.

Good luck,
Lisa
