Election officials should release the result tomorrow morning, if they have not already.

A. release the result tomorrow morning, if they have not already.
B. release the result tomorrow morning, if not already.
C. have released the result tomorrow morning, if they have not already.
D. be releasing the result tomorrow morning, if they have not already.
E. release the result tomorrow morning, if they have not already released it.

Option A: Wrong
This statement does not offer further meaning aimed to be derived from it because it is a repetition of the underlined statement which is originally the question instructively meant to be logically discerned.

Option B: Wrong
''If not already'' is the same as saying 'you're lost in the woods' because if offers no grammatical objective, no coherence, lacking in logic and doesn't in any way for a statement description. It has changed the mood and objective of the writer.

Option C: Wrong
This is a preemptive statement. You cannot emphasize instructively on what has not happened. ''should release'' means that, the results have not been released consequently should be released the next day. ''Should have'' as used here is incoherent and lacking in context description.

Option D: Wrong
''Be'' here means ''to occur'', ''to exist'' it is a transitive verb used to indicate that the subject and object are the same. The verb ''releasing '' is a continuous one which clearly could mean doing something one after the other. Doesn't apply here.

Option E: Right
This offers the most implied meaning bereft of any conditionality nor does it have any complexity. It is the most appropriate, sufficient and informative of all the options put together. It is the most grammatically consistent.
