Japan's abundant rainfall and the typically mild temperature throughout most of the country have produced a lush vegetation cover and, despite the mountainous terrain and generally poor soils, it has made possible the raising of a variety of crops.

C for me , but i don`t see clear antecedent for it

1.passive construction and lack antecedant for " IT"
2. lack parallesium with have and has
3. IMO C , "it" refers to " the Country"
4. wrong idiom Possible for incorrect.
5. Who is "them" ?

IMO C

there is no antecedent for 'it' here.

Actually 'it' is used as a placeholder [ see Mgmat Page : 86 ]

e.g.

She made it possible for us to addend the movie.

I marked C. and C is OA.

But, what is wrong with D?

idiom is : possible to

in general also : infinitives are preferred over ing form.

I think 'possible X to Y' and 'possible X of ing Y' are correct idioms. 'Possible X for Y' is incorrect.

Need to confirm though.
