congrats gandalf.Just curious, where was you test centre, that had all that noise? Good for you that GMAC allowed you another shot. you deserved it.

I am just 10 days from my GMAT. I have tried the prep twice - decent scores. Though I think I will try the prep 3rd time as well.

Can you tell me about how you prepared for AWA. I am just going through the topics at the back of the OG and mentally thinking on every topic for 1-2 minutes. Any other method you can suggest?

AWA, just used the princeton review book AWA format, wrote a few essays and read a few published essays..no need to sweat on that if you are a decent writer

good luck!

I am currently giiving practice tests and have started with MGMAT 6 tests.
Any suggestions which tests should I do apart from GMAT prep (which I am planning to in last 10 days of my pre) ?

Hi Abhay,
You can try the ETS retired paper tests. The verbal section in these tests is awesome and gives an accurate indicator of your verbal score.

Powerprep tests are decent too..if you take them before studying OG in depth

good luck!

How big of a difference is 770 compared to 750 in the scheme of things?

I'm genuinely curious to know (I got 49Q, 42V = 750). I've considered retaking, but I already have a strong academic background, so a small improvement in my test scores probably wouldn't really matter, right?
Plus it would be dropping another 250 USD.

good question. I think 750 is a great score with a 49 Q 42 V split.

Just wondering why you felt the need to retake the gmat if you got a 750 in your first test?

Is there a certain program that you are/were targeting with that score?

Thanks in advance!

You said that GMATPrep > MGMAT for CR and RC.

Call me a newbie but where do you find GMATPrep books?

Thanks!
