IMO answers are B and C

In first question:::

A:'not being used' sounds awkward
C:'Leaving only.....available' is redundant in my opinion.
D:unnecessarily lengthy
E:It shows that ONLY THREE QUATERS OF LAND IS CALLED GREEN STATE.

B sounds perfect answer.
What is OA?

The OAs are B and C respectively. PLease could your provide a little more detail as to why "C" is wrong for the first question. Why is D wrong for the second question? Any input will be highly appreciated. Thank you.

C is wrong in first because the sentence starts with a clause 'Although it...' and 'it' is quite unclear and ambiguous..

D is worng in second question because it is unnecessarily lengthy.Gmat always prefers concision..

I hope i explained in a right way..

For the first question, the "Although it" explanation makes perfect sense. Not easy to determine what the "it" refers to.

For the second question, I am not convinced as to why D is any longer than C.

Any input will be highly appreciated.

For (1), I am not convinced that (B) is the answer.

In (B), what does "which" refer to? "purposes"?

In option (C), "It" can refer only to NJ. and "It" is required since "over three-quarters" follow the initial clause.
