Distinct points

Distinct points A , B , C , D form a right triangle with a height BD. What is the value of AB times BC ?

1. AB=6
2. The product of the non-hypotenuse sides is equal to 24

We cannot determine the location of point C.

It is corret. This problem is from GMAT Club Challenges & OA is B

i believe this problem says that triangle ABC has a prependicular dropped from B to AC .. BD -- height...

so if product of non hypotenuse sides - 24 ..suff

The non-hypo sides can also be BD and BC. How do we take non hypo. side as AB and BC alone??
