I came across this question in data sufficiency. Hope u guys can help me brainstorm.
Q:
The profit from the sale o a certain appliance increases, though not proportionally, with the number of units sold. Did the profit exceed $4 million on sales of 380,000 units?
1. The profit exceeded @2 million on sales of 200,000 units.
2. The profit exceeded $5 million on sales of 350,000.
A: statement 2 alone is sufficient.
i'm confused why statement 2 alone is sufficient? couldn't it be having negative profit? What I mean here is, although sales on 350,000 units exceeded 5M, wouldnt sales of another 30,000 units pull down the profit that over all profit of 380,000 units is lesser than 4M?
