Hi. I've read that the GMAT tries to find the difficulty level where one answers roughly half the questions correctly, so that it can feed that test taker a steady diet of questions from that difficulty bin.
If one answers roughly half of the difficult quant questions (comparable to those the OG has labeled as difficult) correctly, what sort of score does that approximately translate to?
How about if one aces the medium questions but gets just 25% of the difficult ones correct, or at the other end, if one gets 75%+ of the hard questions correct?
(I know nobody has the algorithm. Just looking for rough rules of thumb, if they're out there, and/or answers based on experience.)
