Should I retake the GMAT

by gagy100 » Thu Mar 01, 2012 7:34 am
Hi guys,
I recently took the GMAT but because of my carelessness scored an embarrassing 470(quant-35,verbal-20). However, I never got less than 580 in any of my practice tests mainly the GMAT Prep.
I have one confusion-
As I am headed towards an MS in Finance, only two schools that I aim require the GMAT (City University: Cass and Warwick Business School). So my query is, should i bother giving the GMAT again? I think a strong GMAT score would influence my application, even to those schools that do not have it as a requirement. Is it true?
Thanks

Take a look at the average GMAT score at your schools and the 80% brackets. Where do you fall in those? Be honest about your application and how attractive it is in other areas. Decide if you need your GMAT to bolster your qualifications. That is how you can arrive to your answer.
