HI
I got a 650 on GMAT - q41 v39 awa 6
I was very disappointed with my quant score and know that with more work I can do better. I have a 3.9 GPA, 7 years work experience at top consulting and entertainment companies, good extra-curricular and some really good essays.
I want to apply to ivy league but know my GMAT and especially my quant is low. I want to make Harvard & Wharton's first round deadline in a weeks time and therefore do not really want to have to retake the GMAT.
with a 650 and what I beleive to be a strong standout application I believe I may have an slim outside chance of Ivy league acceptance. Would you agree? Problems is I would ovbiously rather have a good chance and would 50 points on my GMAT increase my chances greatly or should I rely on the rest of my application to compensate. I think if I had 670 or 680 I would be happy but am really disappointed with 650.
I am confident I can increase my score by 50-60 points if I study hard and take it again but not sure if all the trouble is worth it if the magnitude of the benefit does not outweigh the cost.
Some advice would be greatly appreciated, this decision is killing me
