Retake GMAT

by DhingraMAT » Thu Jan 01, 2009 9:12 pm
I have appeared for GMAT twice with the following scores

First Attempt
Score 600 :: Q 44 :: V 29
Second Attempt
Score 550 :: Q 43 :: V 23

As it is visible my score dropped below. However I feel that the score can be improved, but I am ambiguous whether the Universities take this case of GMAT taken 3 times.
If I can retake 3rd time, Do the universities take average score or highest of all the GMAT scores?

Hello,

It’s fine to take the GMAT three times; many successful applicants do.

Schools vary in how they treat multiple scores. Some average, some focus on the highest. You should check with each school. However, even if they average, they will notice a higher score if you do better next time, so it will only help.
