"Took the GMAT" - not "gave the GMAT"

I was not sure where to post this, and I cannot remember this ever coming up on the actual test. It just bothers me to see this error so much.

The correct usage is to "take" a test, not "give" a test... hence, you would be the "test-taker."

The testing center is "giving" the GMAT. We are "taking" the GMAT.

LOL. If we were "giving" the test, we all would be "test-givers". So much for the exclusivity of GMAC!
