If x = 5, we just substitute this into the other equation...
3y = 4(5)
3y = 20
y = 20/3.
So how much greater is y than x just translates to y-x = ?
20/3 - 5 = 20/3 - 15/3 = [spoiler]5/3[/spoiler].
