When we divide an integer by 10, its units digit is the remainder. So Statement 1 is immediately sufficient - the units digit is 8.

The units digit of a number has nothing to do with the remainder you get when you divide by 11, so Statement 2 is useless (e.g. our number can be 19 or 30, which have different units digits).

So the answer is A.
