Store S sold a total of 90 copies of a certain book during the seven days of last week, and it sold different numbers of copies on any two of the days. If for the seven days Store S sold the greatest number of copies on Saturday and the second greatest number of copeis on Friday, did Store S sell more than 11 copies on Friday?
1. Last week Store S sold 8 copies of the book on Thursday
2. Last week Store S sold 38 copies of the book on Saturday

IMO the ans should be B
Stmt 1 - Lets assume he sold 1,2,3 and 4 copies on Sun, Mon, Tue, and Wed respectively
So total book sold by Thursday = 1+2+3+4+8 = 18
On Friday and Sat he needs to sell 90-18 = 72 books. So on Friday he can sell 10 books and rest of the books on Sat OR he can sell 20 books on Friday and 52 books on Sat.
NOT SUFF
Stmt 2 - He has sold 38 books on Sat. Remaining books = 90-38 = 52. Lets try to break the question by assuming that he sold max of 11 books on Friday. So on remaining 5 days he must have sold 52-11 = 41 books. Since he has to sell different no of copies everyday and no has to be less than 11, lets assume he sold max possible on all 5 days. So, he sold 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 copies on those 5 days for Friday to satisfy question. Adding together 6+7+8+9+10 = 40 so he is still short of 1 book. Means he sold more than 11 books on Firday. SUFF

Hi,
I have a question on 2 statment...
since Fri day is more than 11 (meaning 12 or more, right?), max possible on all 5 days is 11+10+9+8+7=45 instead of 40???
If so, Fri is 7 and not suff... hmm.
